Passion for Policy

Professional Experience

I am a young professional with experience in government relations, public affairs, and site policy. Whether it is working with local government in the capital of Silicon Valley, representing the world’s largest tech companies to Washington D.C. legislators, or advocating for refugee rights at the United Nations, my passion lies in finding the intersection between communities and policies that works for them.

Previously, I lead the government affairs team at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group where I represented a business coalition which included Google, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Tesla, and other leading tech companies at the local, state, and federal levels. In this role I worked with many senior ranking elected officials including Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, Senator Dianne Feinstein, and Senator Cory Booker.

I left my work in government affairs in order to pursue my graduate education at the London School of Economics where I earned my MSc. of International Relations with an emphasis in International Political Economy. My coursework and dissertation focused on examining the regulatory frameworks arising in the EU and US in response to multinational tech companies’ growing economic power and social influence.

This area of focus lead me to an opportunity at Twitter where I joined the Trust & Safety team and worked to protect the public conversation for two years. Tasked with creating and enforcing Twitter’s policies, I worked with my team to combat misinformation, protect user data privacy, and ensure brand safety. I am thrilled to be continuing this work in Trust & Safety as a Senior Policy Specialist at Discord, a community driven chat app with over 300 million users.
